This week, I had the pleasure of attending a gathering to watch local Florida Primary results come in, to celebrate the winners of a hard-fought primary campaign.
No matter your political preference, we are so fortunate to live in a country where we can exercise our vote for platforms we believe in.
Until a couple short years ago, I didn’t think I had the right sound to do voiceover for political campaigns, so I never tried.
One day, I got a political audition and thought, “Why not?”
Boy, had I been wrong. I was chosen to voice that one… then another… then another… and so on.
I have to admit, political and PAC work is by far some of the most meaningful and important voiceover work I get to do. I absolutely love voicing those ads and campaigns. They’re often full of “personality,” which is something I apparently do well.
The moral of this story: always try new things! You never know where it might take you.
